Beowulf

The warrior Beowulf crosses the sea to rid King Hrothgar's hall of the monster Grendel, then faces the monster's mother, and, fifty years later, a dragon. The oldest long poem in English is a story of courage and mortality that inspired Tolkien. IMPLEMENTATION NOTE FIX→ author “Unknownˮ → “Anonymousˮ; VERIFY→ translator (PG #16328 is Francis B. Gummere)
