Step 04
Cost To Produce
What audiobook production costs
Narrators are usually paid per finished hour (PFH) of audio. A typical narrator reads about 9,300 words per finished hour, so an 80,000-word novel runs about 8.6 hours. Rates range from about $100 PFH for newer narrators to $300–$1,000 PFH for experts. That puts the 80,000-word novel at roughly $860 with a newer narrator, about $1,700 with an experienced one, and more with an expert. Full audiobook guide/academy/how-to-publish-an-audiobook.
Step 05
Ai Narration
AI narration and synthetic voices
You can publish an audiobook narrated with AI or synthetic voices on BookMarket, as long as you disclose it when you upload. Your book page will show the label “AI-narrated,ˮ so listeners know what they're choosing.
You must also have the rights to the voice you use. Never use a cloned voice without the speaker's written permission. Content guidelines/publish/content-guidelines
