History of Tom Jones, a Foundling

Tom Jones is found as a baby in Squire Allworthy's bed, grows up generous and impulsive, and is thrown out into the world for loving the wrong girl. Fielding's sprawling comic novel is bawdy, warm and brilliantly plotted, with a narrator who chats with you along the way.
