Englishwoman in Florence must choose between convention and feeling. On a trip to Florence, Lucy Honeychurch is chaperoned by her cousin, offended by the outspoken Emersons and kissed in a field of violets. Back in Surrey she becomes engaged to the wrong man. Forster's sunniest novel is a comedy about choosing to live honestly. IMPLEMENTATION NOTE RIGHTS→ US public domain; Forster (d. 1970) is protected in the UK and EU until the end of 2040

A classic that still deserves the hype. Comfortable to read on a phone during a commute.

Finished it over a weekend. A great introduction to the genre if you're new to it.
